Basic Check
· Close & restart Turbo Dispatch
Start\Programs\Startup\TD OR
· Reboot Comms machine
· Recycle modem power
· View Turbo Dispatch; Mailbox Data Path – Note it.
· Mobidem status ?
· Local MAN? Power Yes?
· Contact yes?
· RSSI 10 – 20+ ?
What’s running?
· Look in Task Manager - see if you have multiple copies of TD
· Browse to C:\TD\TD.exe – 2cl – start ok?
· Download & try another TD.exe from the website?

History Log
· Go to Turbo Dispatch machine, (TD active screen)
· Press Ctrl H – gives you the History file
· Files by day – mth – year
· Look for error msgs/events either side of the time in question.

Modem Initialisation Error
Which COM Port are you using?
TD can’t see the modem. Serial lead and ‘D’ connector OK?
· My Computer – Right Click – Properties – Hardware – Device Manager
· Click the + sign of Ports (Com & Lpt)
· Look for Comms Port – COM 1 – No yellow ‘?’ (Drivers for TD are on the CD)
· Close all programmes
· Re-install TD – CD – setup – ok (overwrites existing)
· Ensure there’s a TD shortcut in; Start – Programmes – Startup
· Reboot machine
· Read the MAN – alarm test

Modem Connection Error
TD can’t see the modem
· Ensure serial lead connected and undamaged
· Which COM Port are you using? Com port 1 is default
· Try Comport 2?
· Browse C:\TD\Data
· RFMLIB.ini
· Look for ‘Comport = Com 1’
· Edit to ‘Comport 2’ – File – save
· Reboot both machine & host modem

Error 51
TD can’t see the modem – No DC to the modem
· Check the psu output

Error 52
Data path not found – IT man has replaced server
· Mailbox datapath = F:\data
|
Error 53
File not found - can’t find td in/out/gpsdata - TD can’t see the modem
· Look for config file in – C:\TD\Config
· Should see a td.ini file in ‘notepad’
· If not, copy it again from the install CD
· Restart TD

Error 53
Machine replaced with one using USB ports & Serial adaptor
· Is Comport ok – My Computer – Properties – Hardware – Device Manager
· Click the + sign of USB and note Comport no
· Browse C:\TD\Data
· RFMLIB.ini
· Look for ‘Comport = Com 1’
· Edit ‘Comport’ accordingly – File – save
· Reboot both machine & host modem

Modem RSSI Fluctuating
· RSSI keeps going from 30db down to 13db and the clubs don’t receive ack’s
· Pressing the ‘Enter’ key brings RSSI back up to 30db again
· Has been happening for ‘a while’.
· Either the Aerial or the modem, or the psu is going duff
· Measure dc o/p from psu with multimeter a good 13vdc. Try a fully charged 12v battery.
· If you can; ensure the Aerial feeder is undamaged. Try a veh mag-mount AE.
· Send modem to us or buy a new one

Network contact fluctuating yes/no
· Recycling power to modem cures it for a while
· Message transmission failure after each transmission
· RSSI fluctuating 14 – 30db
· How old is modem/psu?
· Could be the Aerial, how old?
· Check/replace Aerial/modem/psu

Network contact lost – check Aerial
· Has Aerial, been physically damaged?
· Cycle power to the modem. sw. off mains at wall skt.
· Red pwr. light on psu?
· Measure dc output from psu with multimeter Maxon 12vdc. (Turbo Host should be ~>7.00v)
· Power from charged 12v car battery. (Splice battery connections to TurboHost psu o/p.)

Lost contact with link level
· Disconnect the 12v dc from the modem
· Reboot Comms machine
· Close TD
· Reapply 12v to modem and restart TD

Error 70
= File Sharing Issue
· TD is having trouble sending messages around the Network
· Reboot Comms machine & read path at top of TD e.g. M:\Veetrack\Ram
· My Comp – Drive M: - Veetrack – Ram – Outbox (53 files)
· Highlight one – Ctrl A – Delete
· Could not delete one file
· Reboot all Veetrack/GM machines and TD

Error 70
= File or Permission Sharing Issue?
· TD is having trouble sending messages around the Network
· Reboot Comms machine
· Reinstall TD
· Get your ‘IT expert’ man to sort the file sharing
Error 70 = Network not available for some reason
· TD is having trouble starting; ‘requested to establish a new set of rules’
· enabled a ‘Router’ firewall
· Get your ‘IT expert’ man to sort the rules for the firewall

Error 76
path doesn’t exist
After the IT ‘expert’ has replaced the server
· Confirm all Aerial/psu/serial connections are ok
· Reboot psu & restart TD
· Send test msg & rx ack.
· Reboot the server and GM clients

Unknown Modem Response 121
· The Comms machine can’t see the modem
· Part of your modem hasn’t got any power
· Are both red lights and the green light on
· Measure the dc level coming out of the psu. Try a fully charged 12v battery
· Is the modem serial cable connected to Com Port 1
· (TD in standard config looks for the modem through Com Port 1)
· If all connections are sound then ship the modem...

Unknown Modem Response 122
· Usually means that the modem is a bit ‘deaf’, the antenna is poor or, for some other reason the network coverage is poor

Lost contact with link level
A TD internal error; - An interface failure between TD and its libraries
· Restart Turbo Dispatch

MAN not in T MAN or Flexlist
One of the Psubs may have logged out (Closed or rebooted a PC?)
· Restart TD and ensure that all Psubs log on
