 Ways to Run MTS Software
Click Start and the MTS PDA Software should be at the top of the list. |

 You can also assign a physical button as a shortcut.
Press Start > Settings > Personal. |

Depending on the phone you might have more options.
1. Highlight the button.
2. Open the drop down menu, and select MTS Mobile.
Press OK in the top right and close all the menus.

PDA Settings
Press Start > Settings > System. |

 Scroll down to the bottom.
Check Regional Settings, make sure they are set to UK.
Task Manager can be used to close background applications still running, posibly slowing down the PDA.
Screen can be used to calibrate the screen if needed.

 Power, Under no circumstances should the PDA be set to "Turn Off Device". The MTS Software will not work.

 Sim Settings
If you are having problems getting our software to connect and you can open a website on the PDA,
check the sim settings haven’t been changed.
To get here go to Start > Settings.

 Select the Connections Folder.

| |
Then click the Connections Icon.

 1. Select "Manage Existing Connection", If this is you first setup select "Add a new modem connection" (Top one). |

 2. Select edit if you can. |
| |
3. The name for the connection doesn't really matter, but keep it simple.
The modem Type needs to be Cellular Line( With at least GPRS).
Depending on the phone 3G and faster HSDPA can be supported.
If the Select a Modem box is greyed out select cancel and creat a new configuration.

 1. Enter the Access Point Name(APN), for the Network you are with.
O2 GPRS settings (shown in example on right)
APN address: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: mobileweb
Password: password
Vodafone GPRS settings
APN address: internet
Username: web
Password: web
Orange GPRS settings
APN address: orangeinternet
Username: user
Password: pass
T-Mobile GPRS settings
APN address: General.t-mobile.uk
Username: user
Password: wap |

2. Leave the other fields empty, click finish.

 3. It should exit you back to this screen, just make sure the connection you just configured is selected.
Do not use auto select, recommended.

 Task Manager
When you run a program on a Windows Mobile PDA, and exit it, the program will stay running in the background.
If you have not restarted the PDA for a while it can begin to slow down.
Close all the programs so you are on the Homepage.
At the top right there should ve some horizontal lines, click them to bring up a drop down menu.
Click the crosses next to each program to fully colse down programs.
If the MTS software cannot connect it can slow the PDA down to a snail, shut down the program until you find out waht the problem is.
