In this section you can see

Install
Click install and download to desktop.
Unzip the download folder.
Select and click TD6.exe to start install.
The installation destination will be TD on the C drive.
When the install is finished close the download window.
At this point TD6.25 is installed in the TD folder on the C drive and a short cut to the file loaded in the Start Up folder.

Checking The Install
Open My Computer.
Open C drive.
Open TD Folder.
Notice eight items stored in the TD folder.
Finished.

Update TD6.25 to 6.28
Download Update (6.28 Update)
Save to the desktop
Unzip download (TD6.28)
Copy or move this file to the TD directory on the C drive. This will over write the existing TD6.25.
Finished.

TD6.25/28 Setup
The modem normally connects to the Comms Computer, via a serial cable, using the comms port, which is called COM1.
This default setting can be viewed in the Rfmlib.ini file listed in the TD folder. It looks like this.

Checking The Modem Is
Connected To COM1
(This is for the standard serial port connection)
To check that the Radio Modem is connected to Com Port 1.
Open computer management by:
1. Right clicking My Computer.
2. Select Manage.
3. Select Device Manager.
4. Open Ports(COM & LPT).
5. Select the Communications Port and right click and select Preferences.
6. Select Port Settings from the top tab and press Advanced (See diagram on the right below).
7. Select COM 1 as the Port number.
(For USB-to-Serial Comm Port)
1. Open Ports(COM&LPT).
2. Select the Port Settings from the top tab and press Advanced (See diagram on the left below).
3. Select COM 1 as the Port number. |
