Test Master II

The new way to perform your MoT test has got even better with our new Test Master II.  Maintaining the easy to use touch screen interface of the Test Master CE product, but in a smaller, lighter and faster package.

Synchronise with the heldheld touchscreen device, take to the MoT bay to fill out test details and simply dock with the Siemens computer when you're done.

The intuitive one-touch user menu is so simple anyone could use it. There are even MoT test manuals to hand should the need ever arise. Tests indicate users should save approximately 10mins per MoT test, which could allow you to do 2 more tests a day.

Test Master II is the first handheld device to meet the stringent requirements set out by VOSA to allow it to connect to their computerised MOT system.

How it Works

Simply identify the vehicle you want to test on the VTS Device in the usual way. Test Master II sits in its docking station next to the VTS Device ready for use and with a simple click will download all the vehicle details for the MoT Test ready for you to pick up and carry over to the vehicle.

All vehicle information, such as engine size, VIN, fuel type along with Vehicle Specific Information, is available to hand without having to go back to the VTS Device.

The test can be performed by follwing the sequence as defined on the VT40, adding RFRs for each item ensuring that the test is carried out accurately.

When selecting an RFR, only the relevant ones are show in a list that apply to the selected vehicle component. If you need to refer to the mot test manual, a 'hot link' is provided for each RFR giving quick access to the correct section in the manual.

The MoT Guide, Testing Manuals and Special Notices are easy to read thanks to the device's 800 x 600 pixel touch screen display.

Once the test has been completed, Test Master II is put back into its docking station where the details are then sent to the VTS Device. No re-keying of information is required!

Site Assessment Tool

In addition to being able to streamline the test itself and having all the up to date manuals and technical data, plus maintain records for 40,000 tests, we will now be installing FREE OF CHARGE the facility for undertaking your own site assessments.

Using the format published on the Transport Office website you can now follow the whole process yourselves and compare the score with your official classification. Whilst this will not enable you to challenge VOSA at this stage it is believed the following advantages will be gained:

• It provides Site Managers with the guidance to look at his site from a third party perspective.
• It draws the attention to, and prompts the use of, all the reports that are available, AND ESSENTIAL, for the running of the modern VTS.
• It draws the attention to standards required for equipment and building structure.
• It shows VOSA your commitment to the Best Practice philosophy.
• All MoT personnel could use it to make all concerned aware of the required elements which contribute to achieving and MAINTAINING Green status.
• It should be thought provoking!

It is simple to use and has the added advantage that it automatically adds up and displays your score and applies the mutiplication factor of ten.

Test Master Manager

When you buy Test Master II, you get Test Master Manager free to install onto your workshop PC.  Simply take a backup of your MoT data from the handheld to a USB memory key and import it into Test Master Manager. You can view and analyse all the tests made over a selected period of time.  If you have more than one handheld device, Test Master Manager will combine MoTs from all Test Master II devices you own.  All details entered during the MoT test are stored and can be viewed or printed in an easy to read report.
